This March / April we have joined forces with the Wild Otter app and Severn Rivers Trust to organise and support 4 litter picks on separate areas of the River Severn that we operate on.
The locations are as follows
25th March – Bridgnorth to Hampton Loade
26th March – Arley to Bewdley
1st April – The Shrewsbury Town Loop
2nd April – Montford Bridge – Shrewsbury
We will provide canoes and litter picking equipment along with transport and a slice of lemon cake too!
The River Severn generally is a pretty clean river however after flooding like we have seen over the course of this winter the wash of the land brings litter into the waterway and we want to do our bit by getting it out.
In the last 8 years we are proud to have been involved with a large number of river clean ups but have learnt that we must charge a small entry fee (£6) to ensure the people that book turn up, after your participation at the event your entry fee will be refunded in the form of a voucher to use against any Hire a Canoe products.
