Make no mistake this trip isnt for the faint-hearted! at 18 miles on the first day and 16 on the second it is a long way.
We reccomend you start this trip at 8 - 8:30 am on day 1, where you will set off from our centre at Montford Bridge and head down through some beautiful english countryside past the confluence of the River Perrry and towards the historic fortress town of Shrewsbury where you can grab a bite to eat from one of the great riverside cafes and pubs as you go through!
In Shrewsbury you will need to carefully navigate the weir in town and head on down towards the National Trust Campsite at Attingham Park for the night.
On day 2 you will have a slightly shorter day at 16 miles, the river descends into the Iron Bridge gorge via a series of gentle rapids and large meanders you will pass a series of iconic bridges and land marks and finish in Central Iron Bridge.
It is advisable that people going for this route have some experience due to the distance. You will also need to consider what camping equipment and supplies you will need along the way as although the campsite has facilities there are few places you can stock up. We will of course provide barrels for you to put your kit in along with dry bags for your valuables.
