This is a very unique section of the River Severn. For the biggest/longest river in England it is suprising how small and narrow it is this high up.
Starting from Llandrinio bridge you will wind your way through some mildly faster flowing sections, with small rapids and beautiful wooded sections packed full of wildlife such as kingfishers, swans and otters. After this you will notice the river Vyrnwy join from your left side where time allowing you can oaddle slightly up and have a look at the 14th century melverly wooden church, at this point the river doubles in size before passing under the old railway bridge in crew green. You will then paddle for a short distance before finishing in time for a drink and a bite to eat at the Royal Hill pub.
This route is only available from 9am in the morning and has a minimum age of 10 years old due to the nature of the river allowing for a marginally higher risk of capsize.
